THE BOOK

The Kindle Fire is a unique device and many of its most useful features lie just beneath the surface. A little guidance can greatly enhance your enjoyment of your Kindle Fire.

This tutorial and reference manual was written to provide that guidance. It includes three types of material for your edification and enjoyment, which you WON’T find in the documentation included with your Kindle Fire:

(1) COMPLETE, illustrated, step-by-step directions on all the essential operations of the Kindle Fire.

(2) Explanations and insights to help you UNDERSTAND the logic and organization of your Kindle Fire — what makes it tick.

(3) TIPS, TRICKS, and SHORTCUTS that go beyond the basic instructions to help you get the most from your Kindle Fire.

The book also includes extensive guidance for finding FREE AND INEXPENSIVE KINDLE FIRE CONTENT: periodicals, music, videos, games, apps, and especially Kindle books.

THE FORMAT

The book was designed, written, and formatted specifically for the Kindle. You can read it on your Kindle Fire. Or, if you would rather read it on a separate device while you learn your Kindle Fire, you can also read it on any other Kindle device or free reading app, or in your web browser with the free Kindle Cloud Reader.

The book is approximately 285 pages long.

OUTSTANDING!! I thought that after 6 months of “successfuI” use, I fully understood the Kindle Fire until I read Mr. Young ‘s book…not once but twice. It is indeed the seminal manual for folks in my 80 and above age group who do not have an understanding of this technology deep in our DNA. The author clearly dissects the Kindle into lucidly written, understandable, enjoyable and thoroughly useful knowledge that easily doubled my enjoyment of the Kindle . Well done Mr. Young! ATTENTION. AMAZON MANAGEMENT…RAISE THE KINDLE PRICE TO INCLUDE THIS MANUAL. YOU WILL BE DOING BUYERS ANOTHER GREAT SERVICE!

One of the best Guidebooks on the subject. I hope that most users would pick up this excellent guidebook at the early time of their Kindle ownership. One should just hang on to it to be reminded on the helpful information and tips on it. It has complete illustrated and step-by-step instructions. It also explains the operations of the Kindle Fire HD and Gen 11 Models. There are tips, tricks, and shortcuts in the shaded sidebars one will discover throughout the book. The book has easily followed chapters in the beginning of the book, and the chapters are broken down for easy access to the main topics of each subject covered. The tips are listed in the beginning of the book and also in each chapter beginning, so the reading is not so disjointed finding it. The author did this to prevent scurrying back to a cumbersome index. The book is written well for the Kindle, and this Complete Guidebook covers much helpful material. An example by a mere touch of a tip or heading leads you to it. A tip listing, whether seen in the front or…

Worth the money! I am new to tablets and the Kindle Fire (2nd gen). This book really got me up to speed on using all functions of the KF and understanding what all the settings mean. I tried two other books, but they were not as detailed and/or were not up to date with the latest version of the KF software. Also the book has a link to a website where you can sign up for emails on future updates to the book and the KF. I am glad I have this as a reference as “things” come up in the future.
